My work aims to understand the purpose, meaning and uses of photography in contemporary art.
What drives me is the question of whether reality can ever be present in a photograph.
I am interrogating the photograph as 'object' and 'message'.
Studio work assists understanding the implications of display, position and size - as well as the 'real unreality' of the photograph.
Currently undertaking a PhD at BSAD, Bath Spa University, my work has been shown and is held in collections in the UK and Ireland as well as appearing in publications, public spaces and media.
In 2016, I was awarded the British Institution Student Prize for my work exhibited in the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition and was also awarded the Bath Spa Porthleven Prize Residency 2016.
